BASIC ROBOT HANDLING

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers the tasks and procedures that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to safely operate a robot.

In addition to presentations and demonstrations this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands on experience. Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.


B A S I C 

  • Safety
  • Robot description and configuration
  • Teach Pendant layout and features (control panel)
  • Description of the various forms of movement
  • Practical operation of the robot
  • Creation, test and modification of a simple TP Program
  • Creation and description User Frames and Tool Frames
  • I / O configuration
  • Use of registers and status registers (could use Position instructions, registers, Position Registers instead)
  • PC connection to robot (web / FTP server)
  • Take and restore TP program backup
  • Create and restore Controller Image backup


The student will be assessed by our trainer during practical session with a written examination at the end of the course.
